A trader can engage multiple accounts on multiple supported cryptocurrency exchanges on the Torex crypto trading platform. Torex provides its users with an API trading feature.
Application Programming Interface (API) is a set of rules specifying interactions between multiple software intermediaries. In terms of cryptocurrency trading, an API allows crypto traders to connect accounts of the crypto exchanges by combining and bringing their databases onto a single interface. With Torex, crypto traders have the possibility to access real-time market data, to perform trading, and to manage their accounts at crypto exchanges on a single crypto trading platform.
Torex trading platform currently provides API connection across nine supported crypto exchanges including Binance, Bitfinex, Bittrex, BKEX, Coinsbit, CREX24, Huobi, KuCoin, and Poloniex. More exchanges are considered to be added in the future.
Method Of Linking API Keys To Torex
It is important for you to follow a proper protocol of utilizing the API present within Torex. Being a trader, you have a possibility to initially create an API-connection between your crypto exchange account and your Torex account by providing Torex with API keys. The API keys consist of a Public Key and a Secret Key. It should be kept in mind that the method for generating these keys on various exchanges is different. With the keys available, you need to follow a series of steps that are necessary to connect to an exchange using API keys on Torex Dashboard.
After logging into a Torex account, a Dashboard page is loaded. In the “Exchange” menu you need to select an exchange where you have an account, with previously enabled API keys.
The option depicting the “Access Key” field requires the Public Key generated from the exchange.
You need to insert the Secret Key in the next field named “Secret Key.” However, you need to remind that this key is sometimes shown only once on some exchanges. Thus, it is better to have it saved and copied through proper means.
Set up a name for the API connection up to your choice.
With all the necessary information updated, you need to click on “Add Exchange” button to link the API keys to Torex.
After adding an exchange a trader will be able to see the balance of each crypto asset kept on that exchange account, and the amount of total balance of all added accounts in USD and BTC equivalent.
If you wish to link more supported exchanges via API to Torex, you need to click on a plus-like button, which is located above the previously added API connection.
The API name can be amended and the API connection can be unlinked using the corresponding buttons.
